Ice Skating in Georgia

Jan. 18 was MLK day, & the kids didn't have school. We planned a fun trip to go ice skating with some friends in Columbus. Sadly, Kevin had big things happening at work and couldn't go with us.

I was surprised how quickly Ryan & Amy caught on to skating. The blades weren't the sharpest, which made it alot more difficult because the skates would slide sideways across the ice instead of cutting into it.

We all had a fun time...well I did until I tried to catch Amy to keep her from falling. I fell straight backwards and landed on my tailbone without anything else hitting the ice first. :( Yup, you guess it...it's still quite painful a month later! Let's just say the chiropracter and I are getting aquainted. ha
