We always hold our breath hoping we don't get a grouchy person working in the booth. Crossing with passports makes things smoother than they used to be. We were fortunate to get through customs without any difficulties. :)

We came to Ontario for our kids Spring break so we could visit with my Mom & Dad. The first two days of our time here we had gorgeous weather.
We celebrated Easter (can't believe we didn't take our traditional Easter family picture!~)

It was fun having new places to hunt for Easter eggs

We went geo cacheing at Jumbo the elephant, & Waterworks park. It was pretty exciting to find the cache at the park...our first success ever. The rest of the week it poured rain! We enjoyed our time together playing games of crokinole and checkers, and doing other little projects.

My Dad has always taken pride in having an organized tool bench and work room. I decided that was something I really wanted take pictures of to remember about him.

Since he has gotten Alzheimer's he has become even more detailed in his organizing. The elastic bands are even sorted into different sizes, labeled, and hung on hooks . :)

Since the weather was so rainy we were trying to figure out different things to do indoors. The Children's Museum in Kitchener turned out to be a fun little trip. It happened to be "Grandparents Day" so Dad, Kevin & I got in free. ...Thanks, Jackson! :)
The exhibit "Our Body- The Universe Within" was at the museum, & I was so excited to get to see that. It was amazing!

On Wednesday my Mom drove to Echo Bay to help out my sister Karen & her family while she had a baby. Isn't he beautiful?

Ryan thought it was pretty neat to lay on a bed of nails

This thing was so fun. Have you ever pressed your hand on one of those things that has hundreds of little pins, & the you see the shape? This is Amy & Ryan pushing their bodies into a giant pin board. :)
Kevin, Ryan and Amy headed for home Friday afternoon. It's funny how I started missing them the moment they backed out of the driveway. I'm staying here with my Dad for another week. We'll have to find some projects to keep us busy. Dad REALLY misses Mom! It's sad to see him stand in the kitchen and stare at his calendar for about 10-15 minutes at a time. He drew a frowny face :( with tears on the day that she left, and a big smiley face on the date she will return. :)

Is that a different Children's Museum than we usually go to? It doesn't look familiar. Looks like you guys had fun! I hope we can get up there this summer.
what a fun trip!
That's funny about the elastics.
What a beautiful baby if I do say so myself.
Thanks for going to be with dad.
Looks like you packed the fun in! Good job for keeping a blog/journal for your family to keep up with what you're up to. I wish my mom would...you'll have to talk her into starting one! :)
