HALF A CENTURY

As May 28 approached I started to feel a bit uneasy. Yikes... I'm turning the Big '50'!!
Then I decided "heck, what's the difference between May 27th & May 28th?" Really, come on folks. If I didn't look or feel 50 on May 27th, why should I get all obsessed and upset about suddenly changing to be a year older?

I don't really have any cute catchy things to write about turning 50.
I gave in to wearing bifocals two years ago. I get a few more highlights in my hair than I used to. My secret to staying young is having a 7 year old daughter. Because of her, we have a whole different group of younger friends than we would have. You should give it a try. :)
Kevin invited lots of our friends over for a "surprise" birthday party for me. Unfortunately my birthday was a long weekend, & lots of friends went out of town. I had fun and appreciated all his hard work getting everything together. It was very sweet of him!! I am grateful for my family and friends. What would life be like without them?

I've been 50 for a month now ....
I am getting the exciting mail from the AARP now--isn't that reason enough to delight in my new age?

Wow, that's a lot of candles! I guess I'll be 1/4 a century in a month :) Too bad we don't have any friends here to celebrate with. Ha.

Marty has been counting down until he turns 50 on July 11th. Me, I just realized that I've been at our school longer than all the teachers have because of Roger & Levi.
