December With Grandparents

Who cares if Santa Claus is coming to town?  For the first time ever both sets of our kids GRANDPARENTS came to town!!  We had a wonderful time with them!!!
Here are a few things we did while they were here.

Visiting Bently at work where he manages  "The Shoe Dept."

Arbor Place Mall in Douglasville, GA
Both Grandmas were successful shoppers.  One found some boots, and the other found shoes.  Bently appreciated their business that day.  :)

Excitedly watching for Santa to make his way to her table
Amy's turn to pose with Santa

This is Amy's second year to wear her p.j's to the mall and have "Milk and cookies with Santa."
December is a busy time with everyone trying to fit in their special Christmas activities.  Inevitably there's a conflict in schedules-- this was happening at the same time as Ryan's concert.  Amy and I saw Santa and then hurried over to the concert but the orchestra had already played.  We enjoyed the listening to the band anyhow.

Visiting Santa at Hills and Dales
Grandpa & Grandma West at Hills and Dales

 Gingerbread House making

I bought a fun looking mold to make the gingerbread houses with.  Mom & I stayed up making and baking...for way too many hours, and finally decided there must be a better way.  I went to Walmart the next day and came home with a kit that had 6 little mini-houses in it.  Perfect!!  Too bad I didn't see that before going to all that work!  Sadly, Ryan was sick the night we worked on the houses. They didn't turn out totally elaborate, but we had fun.  :)
We always have to take a trip to Los Nopales for lunch :)

Finding some bargains at ' The Sock Shoppe' where Bonnie is manager

Ryan and his friends rode their unicycles in the Christmas parade
Amy was so proud to have both sets of Grandparents at her school for her birthday lunch

She handed out a cookie and Christmas pencil to all of her class
