IT'S NUTCRACKER TIME

Amy was just a couple of days old when she attended her first Nutcracker Ballet (to watch Jordan dance).  Of course she slept through it, but she could recognize Tchaikovsky's famous Nutcracker music before she was two!

I love this picture...
Jordan could hardly wait to teach Amy to dance!
We went through many, many years of busy dance rehearsal schedules with Jordan.  Even after she graduated I continued to go to the LaGrange ballet performances so Amy could enjoy them too.

Here are a couple of picture from the first years of Nutcracker for us--

Jordan Nutcracker-1998

Fast forward 12 years...
October, November and the first week of December were a little busier for us this year.  Amy loves to dance, and this was her first year to be in The Nutcracker Ballet.  She along with 12 other little girls were beautiful angels.

Doing Amy's hair in ringlets took a lot of time, but it was so pretty!
Amy was also a Page and brought Clara and the Prince a milkshake

She was was very excited to get to wear this costume when
she was the Page, but because of timing issues,
costume changes weren't possible.

It was extra special having  both sets of Grandparents with us
Amy's beautiful golden blonde hair matched her costume

What a cute little angel! Maybe some day I'll be able to see Amy in the Nutcracker. And wow, gotta love those glasses when I was a rat. I think Clayton looks kind of like Amy in that first picture.

Awww I love that picture when Amy was so little and she had her first experience dancing on stage :)

She was a much prettier angel than I was... They had us wear way too much makeup when I was little and in the Nutcracker.

I love too that they had the angels wear their hear down and curly. It looked much more angelic than the bun I wore.

Can dad burn me a copy of the dvd of this year's nutcracker? I want to watch Amy.
