Grandparenting is GREAT!!

Last week was such a great week. Natalie, Jack
& Jackson came for a visit. It was so fun to spend
time with them & to get to cuddle Jackson & coax
smiles and little coo's out of him. Actually, by the
end of their visit he was smiling without much
effort from us at all. :) Kevin & I decided this
grandparenting this is definitely WONDERFUL!!!
(not that we thought we'd need convincing)

There aren't likely too many grandparents
(outside of Utah ) that just went through the
baby scene themselves 5 years ago. The benefit
of that is that we were able to pull all the baby
equipment out of the attic. How handy eh? ;)
I did feel really sad yesterday to be packing the
swing and portacrib etc away again.
My DREAM would be to have my children and
grandchildren live close enough that they could
just drop by, come over for Sunday dinners, let
us babysit, & to be able to go to church together.
It would be wonderful if we were close enough
that we could go to our grandchildren's ball games
and dance recitals, & take them to the park.....well,
the dream goes on and on as you can tell. That is
one thing that has been sad and difficult with us
living here in Georgia. Our children's Grandparents
& none of our other extended family live close. I
know it's not nice to envy, but that has always been
the thing that I have longed for. When I see other
friends that have family here in town or at least
within a couple hours driving distance I always tell
them how lucky they are.
I have rambled on long enough....
Here are some pictures from our week together.

Every fall since our kids were little we have

very cute & sweet pictures. I looks like you did better with the Thanksgiving celebration than we did.
I love the fact that my kids have cousins right here that they know so well, but I wish they knew the Wilson bunch of cousins better. However for being so spread out we do pretty well (it helps that we all take a lot of pictures.)
