Can you remember how exciting it was to loose your first tooth? Well, Amy has been trying to wiggle her teeth for over a year now! Her best friend, Jessica has already lost 4 or 5 teeth!! According to Amy, she was nearly the only one who hadn't lost a tooth in her whole preschool class. That's alot of pressure on a 4 1/2 year old, don't you think? She worked and worked trying to get at least one of her teeth to the point where it would wiggle just a tiny bit. There was no hope in sight still by the time the school year ended in May.
Finally, a few few weeks ago we could feel a little movement on one bottom tooth. Yeahhhhhh!
She was certain it would fall out any day now. Thursday I told her I was sure that she would loose that tooth before Jordan's wedding. I felt pretty confident in telling her that since she could lay her tooth backwards and cover it with her tongue so it looked like she had lost it already!
Last evening my cell phone rang while I was at the mall....yup, you guessed it, there was one VERY EXCITED little girl on the phone saying "Mommy, my tooth came out--REALLY, it really did! Come home quick so you can see it!" Daddy has been trained well, he grabbed the camera and captured the moment perfectly!
I laughed so hard when I saw this picture!!
This is the note she wrote for the Tooth Fairy.

Translated--
Dear Tooth Fairy,
May I keep my tooth?
Please give me a real magic wand.
Fortunately Amy's Daddy could send the tooth fairy a text messages about the request. ;)

Amy was delighted to discover a purple "magic wand", a quarter, and her tooth this morning when she woke up! Whew!

man, I should have been more creative when I was little and asked for something more than money... I remember kids getting 15 and 20 dollars when they lost teeth!!! That is insane!!
Well, I don't think the tooth fairy will be bringing her something other than a quarter every time. The first tooth is extra special :)
$15-20 dollars IS insane! If the TOOTH FAIRY gives them that much, how much do you think they'll "expect" to get when they get married...of course it's not the tooth fairy giving gifts then, is it?
She's 5 1/2, not 4 1/2 :)
...now to finish reading the post
I'm still laughing from that picture! You should enter it in a photo contest. I'm serious. I'm going to find one for you to enter.
I was saying that in preschool last year she was 4 1/2. She's about a year behind alot of her friends in loosing teeth. To me 5 year olds loose teeth not 4 year olds. What's with the kids these days? Parents just push them in every area!! ha
That is a classic photo! I laughed pretty hard there too! Are you sure she didn't re-do that pose? How cute she is!
