The One Wheeled Wonder!

When we were in Utah in June, Shawn showed Ryan his unicycle. He is AMAZING!! He can jump up and down stairs, jump down bleachers skipping steps, and all kinds of crazy things. Ryan decided right then that he wanted to give it a try. He started out with Jordan and Shawn on each side of him holding on with a fierce grip. Ryan continued trying to get on the unicycle himself, balancing and attempting to pedal one or two times before falling off. He is one persistant kid who just doesn't give up! Before we left that evening he was able to pedal about 10 times before falling off. Shawn was pretty impressed because he said he had never seen anyone learn so quickly. Now, don't think that he was ready to join Shawn riding in a parade or anything like that, but he definitely had caught the unicycle riding fever. When we got back to Georgia he started checking out the unicycle.com website. Yup, you guessed it...Ryan decided what he wanted to do with the $100.00 check he won at the District Science fair. He put that money along with his hard earned grass cutting savings toward the purchase of his very own unicycle. Ryan was outside this morning at 9:30 practicing his riding skills. By this evening he was able to ride all the way down our street!! Go Ryan!
