Here is my beautiful daughter, Natalie...8 1/2 months pregnant. Her "due date" is August 10, 2008. The "plan" has been that I am flying to California for my sister's son, Jeff's wedding which is Aug. 9. I am then driving to Utah with my brother & his wife , & we are getting there Aug. 11. Natalie is supposed to wait until I get there, & then she can go into labor the next day. Well, she just had and appointment with her doctor and called me. Last week he said the baby's head was "engaged" (good news, because the week before baby boy was trying to turn sideways). She was not dialated or effaced at all. Today he said the baby's head is DEFENITELY in the birth canal, and he was surprised she could even walk. She is 80% effaced! When she told me that I just said "NOOOOO! This isn't supposed to happen this way. You've got to wait for me to get there!" So, Natalie has strict instructions to sit with her feet elevated above her head...which by the way, I'm sure will be an extremely comfortable position in for the next 11 days!

I'll have a talk with Little Boy and let him know that his Grandma would really like him to stay put for 11 more days. Maybe that will work.
Well, I think having your feet so far above your head would be very comfortable! Doesn't Little Boy know that Grandma needs to be there for the first grandchild? Jack had better be doing lots of pampering!!!
ahhhh man!
I sure hope you get there in time Chris!!!!
