Utah Visit....

I started this post while I was in Utah last week, but didn't get to finish it until now. Kevin was so great to encourage me to go visit family in Utah. I left meals fixed in the freezer, & he handled everthing else. He is an amazing Dad & husband, and I sure do love him!!!

This is our Grandson Jackson Keith Shirts-- He is 5 1/2 months old. He has two bottom front teeth, can sit up by himself, rolls over, giggles, and just basically melts my heart!

He's such a sweet happy baby!! Isn't he so adorable? I'm not a biased Grandma though. I know you agree. :)

I am having a wonderful visit with our Utah family this week. I sure wish Kevin & kids could have come along. Those little things called work & school sort of got in the way though. I have been staying at my brother & sister-in-laws house with their 3 youngest children while they are visiting my Mom & Dad in Ontario & their daughter Jenni & her family in Michigan. Keith & Ada's children are quite self-sufficient at 16, 13 & 10. They are wonderful children who have just kept up with their regular routines of morning family scripture study at 6:15, morning jobs around the house before school, getting themselves ready for school etc. Monday morning we also got to shovel snow before they left for school. Now there's something I don't do in Georgia before school! :)

I could certainly get used to being able to see Natalie, Jack, Jackson & Jordan & Shawn every day!! I enjoy watching them interact with their spouses. I have a greater appreciation for the good men Natalie & Jordan married when I see them treating our daughters with such thoughtfulness and love.

Of course I have loved getting to cuddle Jackson, and smother him with kisses. It's crazy to think about how much he will change between now and the next time we will get to see him. He is 5 1/2 months old now. We are hoping that we can all get together in June for the Wilson family reunion. He could be walking by then--hard to imagine, eh?

Unfortunately, I did not get very many pictures on my camera while I was in Utah. Either my camera was at Keith & Ada's while I was at Natalie & Jack's, or all 3 batteries had died, & the charger was in my suitcase.... I knew that was happening, but somehow I still didn't get my act together very many days. I am relying on the girls to send me pictures they took on their cameras.
Jackson helped me finish getting my New Year's letters & family pictures in the mail while I was babysitting him. :)
I got to visit with my friend Ericka while I was in Utah. It is wonderful to have a friend that even when you haven't seen them in a long time, you can just pick back up and feel like you never missed a beat. Ericka & her husband Jeff lived here in Georgia for a few years. You know how there are some people that you just connect with right away? Well, Ericka & I were that way. They moved back to Utah about 11 years ago, (I can hardly believe it's been that long ago !!!) but we still maintain our friendship even though we don't really get to talk to each other much.

Sorry we didn't get to see you while you were out here. I think I was visiting family in Idaho for some of that time, but I'm glad you had fun!
