Melting Away the Years

Bently and I had birthdays in May. We got together to 'celebrate' on Sunday. It wasn't an elaborate party or anything close to that. We had leftover chicken parmesean, alfredo, crockpot chicken and rice, and vegetables.

I baked "The Birthday Cake" for dessert. Yumm!
The cake hadn't cooled all the way before we were ready to eat it. I didn't think that would be a problem, in fact I commented that it might really be delicious
to have the warm cake with icecream.

With a smirk on his face, Bently counted out 24 candles to put on the cake...then he added the 3 more he was supposed to have. ;)
Bently, Bonnie, Ryan, and Kevin all worked at lighting the candles.

Before we could get the picture taken and the candles blown out, they started MELTING...not so much from the flame, but the heat of the cake melted them
from the bottom! We sure had a good laugh!!! So...we had a little wax in our cake too. :)
Take a look at that candle Bently is holding after he pulled it out of the cake.

ha ha ha, I couldn't figure out what Bently was holding when just looking at the picture. But after reading the post I got it. I can't believe the cake melted the candles!
