Today is the first day of school. We had a
wonderfully long summer vacation. As part of the budget cuts that are going on all over the country, our school system opted to begin the year two weeks later than normal, & end a week earlier in May. They have also increased the time that the kids are at school each day to make up the difference. I'm
not exactly thrilled with the plan...but what can ya do? Poor Ryan leaves for Seminary at 6:10 AM and won't get out of school until 4 PM each day. That's a lo00
ng day!! I'll need to pack double the snacks for him to sneak between classes. ;) He is a Junior this year and is excited about his class schedule.
Here's his schedule- AP Calculus, Physics, Spanish II, AP Government, AP Literature, & Robotics. Sounds like lots of fun, eh? ha---I'd die!!

When we went to the High School to register
Ryan he discovered his picture with the
unicycle club was on the wall of the newly
renovated cafeteria

Guess what grade Amy is beginning? She started her morning off with a large pancake shaped like the # 2. (that doesn't sound very good does it? ha)

Hasn't she grown so tall? We always take the kids pictures in front of this window so we can see how much they grow from year to year.

Both kids will be taking piano this year. Amy is still taking ballet, and even though she did very well at tap last year, she'd like to give jazz a try this year.
