Ryan's Prom

Ryan went to his High School prom Saturday night.  He took a friend of his, Ariana, from Phenix City.  Ryan owns his own tux because he plays in orchestra at school, so we didn't even have to rent that. All we had to do was buy a tie to match Ariana's dress. There sure is a big difference between getting a girl and boy ready for prom.  He worked from 9-1 for his school service club, came home shaved and showered, put on his tux and he was ready to go!  :)
He and his group of friends had planned to meet to take pictures at 5:00, but the weather did not look promising.  Kevin ended up taking them out earlier to get some pictures.  It was a good thing they did because we had torrential rain hit as we were finishing up.

I decided to make the wrist corsage and boutonniere
to save $$.  It was fun, and I was pretty happy with
how they turned out.

This was the first dance Ryan had ever gone to that wasn't church sponsored.  I warned him that he would likely be disgusted with how people danced...and he was!!  He is looking forward to going to the LDS prom in Jonesboro on May 14th.  He even bore his testimony in church yesterday saying how much he appreciates the standards of the church!  What a blessing the gospel is.
