8th Birthday --Victorian Tea Party

We just had the funnest  Victorian tea party for Amy's birthday.  A friend of mine does these parties in her home, and I have had in mind that I wanted to do this when Amy turned 8. Surprising, all 11 friends that she invited were able to come!  It was cute to see how excited and filled with anticipation they were as they arrived.  They played some old fashioned games and then each girl got to choose what she wanted to wear.   There were beautiful dresses, with matching hats, gloves and purses all layed out in two different bedrooms. Amy got to choose her dress first, then all the other girls picked what they wanted to wear.
Doesn't she look beautiful?

Quite proper as she sips her lemonade---notice the pinky is up?   :)

Amy was so sweet and genuinely appreciative as she opened each gift.

They had cute heart shaped mini ham & cheese sandwiches, fruit, vegetables, pasta salad, chips & lemonade.

It took several attempts, but the girls finally got it and had fun doing the May pole

Hmmm, which dress, should I choose?

Amy invited 11 friends to come to her mother-daughter tea party.  Back Row-Hannah, Annie, Mary Frances, Annie, Liz, Anna  Middle Row-Jessica, Madalyn, Emily, (Lauren not in picture) Front: with her royalty wave- AMY

Oh my goodness, that looks like it was so much fun! That would have been fun to go to even though I'm technically an adult now. wow, did I really just call myself an adult?

You should put the pictures up of you and dad with Amy and the one of dad next to Amy and all the girls behind them. Those two pictures were really cute.
