A GRAND Surprise!!!!

Well, it's not a secret any longer....Kevin & I are going to be GRANDPARENTS!! We are SO excited!!!

Natalie & Jack ( & Jordan) came home for Christmas and arrived in the wee hours of the morning on Dec. 22. They were very tired, of course, & Natalie took several naps & went to bed early, trying to catch up from the "jet lag" feelings.

We did our Christmas Eve and morning traditions, & of course had the camera handy throughout all of the holidays. When it came time for us to open the gift that Natalie & Jack were giving us Natalie handed Kevin & I a pretty wrapped box. She got her camera ready (which I thought nothing of)...Kevin & I carefully pulled on the ribbon together as we opened the gift. I pulled back the tissue paper and looked in the box...Natalie snapped the camera as I caught a glimpse of title of a book called "The Gifts of Being GRAND". She captured the moment perfectly as a look of shock came over me. Kevin was a few moments behind on his reaction, but we both jumped up in excitement and ran to Natalie & Jack for hugs. WOW... Are WE really going to be GRANDPARENTS?? That's just crazy....We're much too young -after all, we do have a 5 year old you know! :) It's amazing how long those "Jet lag" feelings last--16 weeks later Natalie's still tired ;)

I've already warned Kevin that it could be dangerous for me to go near the baby department at the store. Being a Grandma is going to be sooooooo much fun!
