Jordan's Summer Plans...

I just thought I'd share some exciting news that Jordan recieved recently. She applied & was accepted to be an EFY counselor for the two sessions in Gainsville, GA this summer . Jordan went to EFY when she was 14, 15 & 16 years old. It was a such great testimony building and strengthening experience for her that defenitely left a lasting impression and helped shape her character. I think that EFY is such a great opportunity for the youth to be around other LDS kids with their same standards. For our girls, it was probably the first time they really caught a glimpse that they weren't alone here in the south...there were thousands of other kids who believed and acted like they did. They got to share their talents, participate in classes, daily devotionals and scripture study, dances, & sports. The highlight of the whole week was always the testimony meeting. They formed new friendships & have even stayed in touch with some of those friends years later. We are excited that Ryan will be attending EFY in Gainsville this summer too. How great to have a sister there that he can turn to if he gets homesick. :)
Jordan has also applied to be a sports and dance camp counselor at BYU this summer. She hasn't heard back yet about that. She will still be able to keep her job on campus as a secretary in the
I. T. Dept., so she will be a busy girl this summer! I know Jordan will be a great leader as she shares her enthusiasm with everyone in her group.

Ha, good thing I read your blog...I didn't know that she was accepted for that! I guess that's why you emailed me her flight plans for the summer? When is EFY? Sounds fun!
