Buzzing in the Air

Yesterday was an absolutely gorgeous spring-like day. 74*! Kevin, Ryan and Amy took a walk around our neighborhood to enjoy the weather. I had a meeting to go to. As I was leaving the neighborhood I called Kevin to see if he wanted to stop back by the house to get the camera so he could take pictures. The daffodils, forcythia, tulip trees, & some pretty pink flowering trees are all in bloom right now. Every day when I'm leaving the neighborhood I think to myself that I ought to go take some pictures. I just love the signs of spring...although I hate all of the yucky pollen and the allergies it brings. Anyway, about 5 minutes later Ryan phoned and I could hear Amy crying in the background. He told me she had just been stung by a bee :( I felt so bad for her. I hate it when I am away and something like that happens! Fortunately we found out she isn't alergic to bees. Her finger got pretty swollen and hurt pretty bad, but she was ok.
Out of this experience we discovered that we have a little poet in our family. This is the poem Amy came up with.

BEES
This is what I learned today
Picking flowers with bees--- NO WAY!

It is something you'll regret
If you ever forget!!

(She added that second verse when she was telling me about the whole episode this morning.)
I thought it was pretty cute for a 5 year old!
