Amy is very excited to be playing soccer again. This is her second season. We were VERY EXCITED when we showed up at our first practice and discovered that Chase Armstrong from our Branch was on the same team as Amy. It makes for much funner visiting on the side lines for us during practices and games :)
A week ago we were rushing from Amy's ballet class to head to soccer. I grabbed her red uniform from last season for her to wear at the practice so we could just save her blue uniform for the next game day. We quickly changed from leotard, tights and ballet slippers into shorts, shirt, shin guards, long socks and cleats, & rushed over to the field. When we were walking down to the field I noticed alot of kids had on uniforms that day. Hmmm, that was kind of strange. Then I glanced over and saw that OUR whole team had on their BLUE uniforms! OOPS...it was a game day, not a practice. Oh well, there was no time to drive all the way home to change, they are just 4 & 5 year olds, so she played anyway. As you can guess...Amy sort of stood out in her red uniform during that game ;) Unfortunately, since I thought it was just a practice, I didn't have the camera there to record that scrapbook worthy game. Notice that beautiful grand jete our soccer player can do? :)
